-A Mosaic in Progress This is a project in the glueing stage. The tiles being used are glass. These can be cut or broken. Glass may be scored with carbide-wheel scorers and then snapped with tile pliers for a more uniform look, or it may be put into a paper bag which should be tightly closed and broken with a hammer or other blunt object. I recommend wrapping the bag in a towel as an extra precaution. If the artist likes, contact paper may be wrapped around the object to keep the pieces in from flying and also to make edge matching easier. Always wear gloves when handling the glass, as it will be sharp when broken. Notice that popsicle sticks are being used to apply the glue.SABAngel |
